Kayseri City Hospital Emergency Medicine Clinic currently provides services in the emergency department in the central mass of the hospital with 2 faculty members, 21 Emergency Medicine Specialists, 27 assistants and 48 general practitioners.

In Kayseri City Hospital Emergency Medicine Clinic, an average of 1000 patients are treated per day. The emergency department provides service in 3 separate departments as the area where adult patients are treated, pediatric emergency and gynecology emergency.

In the adult emergency unit where adult patients (16 years and older) and all trauma patients including children are evaluated, 4 in the resuscitation (resuscitation) room, 12 in the observation area with a monitor, 12 in the examination 3 in the area where 112 Emergency Aid Ambulances are met, There are a total of 33 stretchers, 5 of which are in the Trauma 3 area. In addition, in the area where outpatients are welcome, there are 5 examination rooms, 2 trauma examination rooms, an examination observation room with 24 stretchers and a plaster - splint preparation, small intervention room. There are 2 USG in the emergency medicine clinic, one in the resuscitation room and one of the observation zones with monitors. The USG, MR and CT imaging room, serviced by the radiology clinic, is also located in the emergency room. All outpatients who apply to the emergency department are evaluated by nurses and health officers at the entrance, classified according to the urgency of the disease (triage) and taken to the appropriate department. Patients brought by 112 are evaluated in a separate area according to their complaints. Patients with complaints such as heart disease and respiratory distress that require close follow-up and treatment are evaluated in the monitored area, while other trauma patients who do not require close follow-up, patients with headache, abdominal pain and similar complaints are evaluated in the examination observation areas. Although the average waiting time of outpatients admitted to the emergency department is less than 5 minutes, this period may be longer for patients who do not have life-threatening complaints during crowded hours. The patients brought by the 112 Emergency Ambulance are evaluated by the Emergency Medicine Assistants under the supervision of the Emergency Medicine Specialist and the necessary treatments are given. If a condition requiring hospitalization is detected after the examinations and treatments of the patients, consultation is requested from the appropriate department and the patient is admitted to the relevant department. The emergency service operates 7 days a week and 24 hours a day. While serving our patients who require emergency intervention in our clinic, it is also important to train Emergency Medicine Specialists that our country needs. For this reason, classes are given to Emergency Medicine Assistants 2 days a week in accordance with the Emergency Medicine Education curriculum and at the same time, bedside trainings are given.
