Our laboratory provides clinical laboratory services to our patients and doctors by following new scientific and technological developments, focused on providing fast, reliable and accurate results, respecting patient rights.
Our Medical Microbiology clinic has 7 Microbiology specialists, 1 Parasitology specialist, 1 Mycology minor specialist, 2 Biologists and laboratory technicians, and more than 1,000,000 microbiological tests were studied in 2017. In addition, our Microbiology clinic works in cooperation to ensure that the sterilization and disinfection services of our hospital run smoothly.
Our Medical Microbiology laboratory:
- Bacteriology
Tests such as cultures of whole body samples, automated blood culture, stained microscopic examination are performed.
- Virology
HBV-DNA, HCV-RNA, CMV-DNA tests serve the patients of Kayseri province and other provinces in the region.
- Serology
Brucella and viral antigen search tests are performed.
- Elisa
Hepatitis, HIV and TORCH group tests are being studied.
- Tuberculosis
Our laboratory, which also operates as a regional tuberculosis laboratory, also studies tuberculosis typing and antibiogram.
- Immunofluorescent
Tests used in the diagnosis and treatment follow-up of autoimmune and rheumatological diseases are being studied.
- Flowcytometry
It is a laboratory where tests used in the diagnosis and treatment follow-up of patients with hematological cancer are studied. (ALL, AML, CLL, CML, Multiple Myeloma) Lymphocyte subgroups are studied in diseases of the immune system. In addition, HLA-B27, which is an important marker in the diagnosis and treatment follow-up of rheumatological diseases, is also studied in this laboratory.
- Mycology
In all body samples, direct fungal search, culture and antibiogram are performed.
- Parasitology
Parasites are investigated by direct examination, serological and molecular methods in all body samples.
Our laboratories provide a wide range of specific and detailed services. Our laboratory addresses the provinces and districts of the region simultaneously with our city of Kayseri, including emergency services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
