Our hematology unit is located on the ground floor of the general hospital and we have 2 polyclinics and serve 120-150 patients a day.
In our service with 19 beds in total, malignant diseases such as blood cancers, bone marrow cancers and lymph node cancers are also treated, as well as other benign diseases (such as anemia, coagulation disorders, bleeding disorders) within the field of hematology.
Our staff includes 1 professor, 2 hematology specialists, 2 internal medicine assistants in rotation, 11 nurses, one of whom is the responsible nurse, and 4 secretaries.
Our 2 active nurses in the hemovigilance unit provide continuous in-service training for safe blood and blood product transfusion practices in our hospital.
A total of 21 personnel is actively working in our blood center, and in cooperation with the Red Crescent, all kinds of blood products are supplied to the relevant services as soon as possible. Thanks to the apheresis unit established in our hospital, it also provides therapeutic apheresis service to all our clinics.
Hematology Outpatient Treatment Unit and Outpatient Chemotherapy Unit are located on the ground floor of our hospital and daily treatments of our patients are carried out.
It is in close cooperation with the genetics, nuclear medicine, pathology and flow cytometry laboratories established in our hospital. In addition, it tries to provide better quality and faster service to our patients by planning councils with these units.
Finally, there is a stem cell transplant unit in our hospital, but this unit has not been activated yet due to some deficiencies. When the stem cell transplant unit becomes active, we will have no shortage of hematology.
